James Brooks-McDonald, our rector since 1988, ... Father James has the M. Div., and recently obtained his Doctor of Divinity degree at Princeton. His spouse Viki is an ordained Presbyterian minister. She is currently part-time protestant chaplain at Union College. What a combination! They must have some dinnertime conversations! Two children: Nicolas and Ethan are in local schools.

Patricia was ordained deacon in 1982 after going through the process in this diocese. In 1987, she attended Bexley Hall Seminary in Rochester, graduating three years later with her M. Div. She has had a jail ministry to the women in the Schenectady County jail for many years. Her husband Chris recently retired from Union College, so that he has lots of spare time to keep this web site up and running! The "kids" Susan and Liz live in Maine and Peekskill.

Tim Olsen, our organist and choir director, obtained his DMA (that's a PhD, but musicians always have to be different!) from Yale University. He is an associate professor (he was recently awarded tenure) of music at Union College, where he directs the Jazz ensemble, among other things. One of the courses he gives now and then is a course on Black American music! His spouse Suzie works for the city of Schenectady and sings with us in the choir.
