The Foyers Program.
Small groups (6 to 8 people) gather to share conversation and good food (everyone knows Episcopalians are GREAT cooks) in the setting of our homes. This is organized early in the fall, but there's always room for a few more. Call the church office at 346-6241.
QUIET DAYS & RETREATS
To build up inner resources of silence and stillness is one of the central tasks of training in prayer. In a culture which has almost outlawed silence, it is a matter of urgency that Christians create oases, centers in which inner silence needs to be concentrated.
A Quiet Day is period of silence, lasting several hours in which participants sever
themselves from their environment in order to give themselves up more completely to the
will of God. Qiet Days allow the participants to relax and to expand at leisure, offering
some creative space in which to grow. We, at St. Stephen's believe that Quiet Days are an
essential feature of serious Christian living. Several days throughout the year will be
offered. More information about these events will be published in "The
Messenger".
